This year, to show our support, we organised a special assembly for the Lower School, where we explored the concept of mental health and highlighted its importance.
We were grateful to Mrs Lenham for her invaluable assistance in making this event possible. A dedicated team of Upper Sixth students – Tan Chiba, Edith Lai, and Freya Lenham – delivered the assembly to the Lower School, while Charlie Holt, Nyla Obeng-John, and Caitlin Lynch were instrumental in supporting the initiative. During the assembly, we emphasised the value of expressing our feelings, seeking help when needed, and actively listening to one another. To further our efforts, we displayed informative posters throughout the School, spreading awareness and encouraging conversations about mental health.
As part of our initiative, we also distributed green cookies – symbolising mental health awareness – around the College. The combination of the cookies and our discussions sparked meaningful conversations among pupils, fostering a more open and supportive environment where everyone feels comfortable sharing their emotions.
Together, we can continue to promote mental wellbeing and create a caring community for all at Epsom College.
