We are very proud of all our pupils and their sporting achievements – below are just some of the highlights:
Athletics
- 4th in Javelin at English School’s Championships
- 3rd in the UK at U20 level after 61m throw last week.
- Teyi Thomas (U6-C) was 8th in the UK in the Long Jump.
- Francesca Weal (U4-R) was an U15 national finalist at 300m.
Football
Academy players at all age ranges selected/retained, including:
- Keira Johnson (Chelsea U18) and Charlie Walker-Smith (Crystal Palace U18).
- Charlie Wilson-Papps (AFC Wimbledon U16).
- Mikel Obeng-John (Fulham U16 + England ISFA U15).
- Finn Edmonds and Malachi Odumosu played for Fulham in U13 European tournament.
Senior Tour to PSV Eindhoven:
The U18 squad enjoyed a 2-0 win against Juvented and 7-0 vs RKSV Heeze over the past few days.
Hockey
U14/U15/U16 and U18 Tour of Belgium
- U18s won all three matches (5-0, 4-0 and 6-0)
- All enjoyed top class training and competitive matches in high quality hockey facilities.
International representation: Amie Hunt, Amelie Carter (England); Laoise Nelson (Ireland); 7 other national trialists
Netball
- Diana Peters won gold with Surrey Storm U15 at the 2024 Sport England School Sports Games National Championships.
Rugby
- Forty U15/U16 players enjoyed a tour to Loughborough University for 3 days of intensive pre-season training.
- They worked on core skill work, patterns of play and some fundamental principles in attack and defence.
- All players showed great application towards every session and they return in great shape for the start of a tough season.
Rugby (Senior)
- 39 senior players headed to Ireland for a week’s intensive training at the University of Limerick, the outstanding training facility of Munster rugby.
- The squad played two competitive games at Musgrave Park, the home of Munster rugby in Cork. An impressive win against Munster Schools U17 and a narrow defeat against Munster Clubs ensured everyone got valuable game time ahead of the season.
- The squad also had a guided tour of Munster’s High Performance Centre and were given an insight into what is required to play rugby at the highest level.
Squash
- Maja Maziuk (L6-W) represented Switzerland at U19 as the no 1 seed in European team and individual events, and competed in the World Junior Championships.
- After success in the European team event in May, Luke McBride (U4-C) won the Dutch Open. He then placed 3rd in the Hong Kong Open.
- Ronnie Hickling (L6-H) reached the last four of the European Individual Event in Poland. He also represented England U17 in the European team event, where they beat France in the final.
Swimming
- Swimmers Sienna Raincock (5th-M) and Hannah O’Mahony (OE) competed at the British Summer Championships and the English Nationals. Both placed well in all their events.
Tennis
ISTA tournament (July)
- Isabel Buhagiar (OE) and Natasha Cook (U6-M) reached the U18 Plate Final, winning eight matches along the way across three days. They later went on to win the Surrey Mixed Champions.
- The Boys U13 and U15s also performed well.
