Four of Epsom’s ski racers competed at the Anglo Scottish Ski Championships in Pila, Italy, from 5-7 January. Lower School pupils Amber and Monty Griffin performed well in the U12 categories. Amber won the mini girls’ super giant slalom and achieved third place in the giant slalom, whilst Monty put in a gritty performance coming back from an injury and first-run crash to finish 14th in the mini boys.
Morris Griffin (F) flew down the giant slalom course, finishing 15th and improving his British seeding points dramatically; thereby qualifying for the British Championships in April. Meanwhile, Sebastian Bayles (F) completed a stunning slalom run earning qualification for the British Championships and a spot as a junior racer on the International circuit next season.
