Alongside the College’s Netball 1st VII’s history making success and the outstanding week for our Squash teams, there has been a great deal to celebrate across all sports this week.
In Golf, a trio of Epsom’s finest have secured their places in the National Finals. Kris Kim (Year 10, Fayrer), Oscar Lent (Year 11, Propert) and Will Hewett (Upper Sixth, Holman) travelled to New Zealand Golf Club for the area final against Eltham College yesterday. All three put in fantastic performances and their hard work takes Epsom through to the national finals at Slaley Hall Golf Club on 24-25 April.
For the second year running, our 1st VII took home the trophy at the Reed’s Rugby 7s tournament on Sunday. With impressive wins against Reed’s School, Emanuel School, St John’s and a whopping 61-5 victory against Gordon’s School in the final game. The team can take lots of positives from their performance at the tournament as they continue to prepare for the National 7s later this month.
Lucas Schmid (Upper Sixth, Fayrer) will be playing for the England U18 Rugby squad against France this weekend.
Tennis player Ciara Moore (Year 10, Raven) was part of the winning U18 Surrey girls squad to be crowned national champions.
