In spite of favourable traffic conditions on the M25, the weather sadly was not kind to us. Disappointingly, all flying operations were cancelled at the last minute due to freezing conditions and ice on the runway.
Instead, our cadets were given an opportunity to visit the hanger and closely inspect the cockpit and functioning of key parts in a Tutor 115 plane. It was pleasing to see them fully engaged in conversation with an RAF Pilot as he explained the operation of various aircraft controls such as the rudder, aileron and the elevator.
I would like to thank Cpl Daria Mirgorod, Cpl Daniel Strange, Cpl Hugo Dowgierd and LCpl Jake Barton for their patience, discipline and exemplary behaviour throughout this long day.
