LAMDA exams inspire and empower learners to be confident communicators, offering examinations at three levels, encompassing eight grades. The audience was treated to a fantastic range of performances from across the different LAMDA disciplines, with solo acting, duologue acting and public speeches all taking centre stage.
Public speaking pupils shared their passions, presenting objects with personal significance and travel. Year 7 acting pupils treated the audience to a range of comedic scenes, with characters such as a dog who accidentally changed evolution and a boy who stole a penguin from the zoo.
Year 8 acting pupils impressed with scenes tackling subjects ranging from the serious; the pressure of beauty standards and the sale of a town’s cemetery, to the absurd; a gingerbread man attempting to cure a cuckoo-clock’s voice!
Year 9 pupils provided the audience with a spectacular breadth of work with Shakespeare, classical and contemporary acting pieces all on show.
Congratulations to all the performers who shared their talent and skills and huge thanks to the technical team and the teachers in the Drama Department for their support.
