Epsom’s Director of Rugby, Paul Burke, has been announced as the new Chair of the Irish Exiles. Paul will perform this new role alongside his duties as the Director of Rugby at Epsom College, which is enjoying one of its strongest seasons in recent years.
Paul says: “It is a huge honour for me to be the new Chair of the Exiles. I’ve been involved in London Irish since my father took me to play when mini rugby started in 1980. I’m hugely passionate about the role we can play in the wider Irish rugby eco-system.”
He added: “My role as Epsom’s Director of Rugby is all about identifying, recruiting and coaching emerging talent. The role at the Exiles complements this perfectly and taps into my passion for developing pathways for young players into the professional game.”
Paul was capped 13 times playing for Ireland and was the first player from London Irish to achieve a test cap, having played at all age grades from minis up at the club.
