Throughout the coronavirus crisis, members of the Epsom College community have demonstrated their kindness and generosity. Hampers of food were donated to the NHS staff accommodated in our Boarding Houses; almost £20,000 was raised in support of local hospitals; and thousands of pieces of PPE were manufactured and distributed around the world.
Lockdown restrictions may have eased since the spring, but the benevolence continues.
This week, parents of Third Form School pupil Eason Zheng (GH), donated over 2,000 bottles of hand sanitiser to the College.
The generous donation now means that every pupil and member of staff at the College will be supplied with their own personal 60ml bottle, and larger 480ml bottles will be available at sites around the College grounds.
Mr Zheng said: “Covid-19 cases have risen in the UK recently, and the number of pupils infected is increasing at other schools. As a parent at Epsom College, I want all pupils to stay healthy and happy at school. The hand gel we’re donating – PeppyPure – is a plant-based eco-friendly gel that is hospital compliant. Instead of using denatured alcohol, the sanitiser is brewed from sugarcane – this makes it kinder to the skin and more suited for frequent use.”
