Out of approximately 2,000 cadets in the Greater London area, Larissa was selected as one of the final four, representing each branch – sea, air, CCF, and army. The selection process began with 200 shortlisted applicants, who were nominated by commanders from each branch. The award recognises outstanding dedication and exemplary service as a cadet and member of the community.
The four winners will have the honour of assisting the Lord Lieutenant, the King’s representative, with his duties throughout the year and will participate in prestigious events.
Larissa’s company commander recommended her for the award, highlighting both her achievements as a cadet and her contributions to the community (including the King’s Parade and being named Cadet Peacekeeper of the Year). A panel of judges reviewed the nominations and selected the four finalists.
“We are so proud of Larissa – this is a fantastic achievement, and she truly deserves it,” said Faith Smith, Larissa’s Housemistress. “We look forward to hearing about the exciting duties she will undertake throughout the year.”
