Facing some tough questions, submitted by pupils, the debate covered topics from educational reform to economic policy, making it a night to remember. A post-debate poll revealed a tight race as the candidates head into the final weeks of the campaign.
“I am thoroughly enjoying taking part in the US mock election as the Democratic candidate. A highlight has been the party conferences, where I had the chance to pitch ideas and policies that could positively impact the USA. Preparing for the election has involved extensive research, drafting policies and writing speeches.” James Mathews, Upper Sixth student.
