Eighteen members of the Lower School Food Appreciation Group were this week tasked with the creation of festive Gingerbread Houses.
They first designed their house, and requested the sweets and tools they required. The Catering Department sourced the ingredients and, in the next session, the pupils set about building their elaborate designs.
The Food Appreciation Group is one of the carousel activities on offer, whereby students go into the kitchen and learn to make different sweet and savoury dishes each week – from club sandwiches, to biscuits. They also learn about safety in the kitchen.
