On Friday 6 December the entire Third Form became Delegates for the Day in their very own Model United Nations. The resolutions under discussion were as varied as encouraging the use of nuclear power and reducing the size of China’s growing military.
The Senior School students, acting as chairs, offered invaluable advice and guidance throughout the day, encouraging adherence to the rigorous rules of parliamentary debating and ensuring ‘decorum’ at all times.
The conference’s outstanding delegates, awarded by the senior school chairs, were: Isabella Sharp (Hu), Isla Naidoo (Hu), Daniel Strange (Wa), Daniel Clatworthy (GH), Sasha Woodruff (Hu) and James Roberts (Je). The best overall delegation was deemed to be the USA.
