On one of the hottest days of the year, the Upper Fourth GCSE Design and Technology group took the opportunity to visit Kew Gardens to learn about different climates and the trees and ecosystems associated with them.
The group took in the current Food Forever exhibition (on until mid-September) which explores how we can transform our planet for good through four new art installations and a major exhibition across the gardens.
The Temperate and Palm House provided a wonderful array of fabulous plants and trees to appreciate and all were very grateful for the occasional ice cream!
A brilliant start to the Timbers section of the GCSE theory.
