Epsom’s young golfers notched up another pleasing victory this week, in close games against Reed’s. The match was held at Burhill GC on Old Course (foursomes) over eight holes. Epsom won 3-0. All the games were very close but these young golfers showed great team spirit and nerve to win their matches.
Sophie Norman (Wh) (Capt) and Sophia Moores (Wa) won by two holes.
Excellent performance by the girls, showing grit and wonderful skill to close the game out. Sophie is seriously long off the tee and Sophia had a short game to match. Both complimented each other really well and a delight to see.
Tomas Harrington (P) and Tom Hyde (Fa) won by one hole.
These two promising golfers played classic foursomes golf by hitting fairways and greens to win a close game.
Due to Max Delamain (G) being ill, Will Russell (Rn) was out on his own but once again showed great promise to win his game by one hole.
