Lower Sixth pupil, Jamie Taylor (P), has been selected from a group of nearly 1,000 players and will take up his hard-earned place in England Hockey’s final U18 squad of just 27. From this squad, a side will be selected for the European Championships and test series against other European nations.
Director of Hockey, Mr Dave Beckett, said: “Jamie will take part in a number of training camps over the coming month in preparation for this. Jamie has shown a real professional work ethic towards his training both in and outside of school and can be proud of his achievement and how he has represented himself and the College.”
Director of Sport, Mr Michael Johnson, added: “Jamie should be very proud of his efforts. He has worked incredibly hard over a difficult year and given his commitment and dedication to the sport, the call-up is richly deserved.”
