Epsom has been nominated in four categories in this year’s Independent School of the Year Awards. For the second year running, we have been shortlisted for Boarding School of the Year, Co-Ed Independent School of the Year and Sporting Achievement of the Year. In addition, this year we are also a finalist in the category of Student Wellbeing.
Dr Helen Wright, Chair of the Independent Schools of the Year 2022, said: “Since the awards were launched in 2018, their purpose has always been to highlight the excellence of the student experience offered by the UK’s amazing independent schools. On the evidence of the 2022 submissions, the independent school sector in Britain has surged back from the impact of Covid, with rising demand for places across the country.”
Epsom reached the finals as a result of what judges said was an impressive and sustained improvement in the all-round education offered at the College. Academic performance, with results now consistently in the top 1% of the nation’s schools; numerous national sporting titles; and a ‘gold standard’ pastoral provision, as recently awarded by the Carnegie Centre; have all contributed to an outstanding education for the College’s 1,100 pupils.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony in October.
