Epsom pupils rallied together last week in support of those who urgently need our help. The annual Charity Fair raised funds to support those affected by the war in Ukraine, with donations going to the DEC Red Cross appeal. Charity Representatives, their fellow pupils, parents and College staff also dug deep in support of this year’s chosen charity: Shooting Stars Children’s Hospices.
Charity representative, Ed Marriott, reflected on the Charity Fair:
“With only a few weeks to prepare, each House created their own stall and ideas. A great turnout from pupils and staff meant that it was very busy in Main Hall and over £2,000 was raised in total.
Granville’s ‘guess the song’ booth raised the most money of all the Houses. Crawfurd and Murrell were close runners-up, with their cake shop and crepe factory, both of which looked incredibly inviting.
A huge thank you to all teachers who participated, to all pupils who contributed, and to all HMMs and matrons for supporting this incredible effort!”
Here is what each House did for their stall, with special mention to those who raised the most money for our chosen charities:
- Granville: Guess The Song and Flag Booth (1st place)
- Crawfurd: Cake Shop (2nd place)
- Murrell: Crepe Factory (3rd place)
- Carr: Sweet Shop
- Fayrer: Teacher Baby Photos
- Forest: Malteser Run
- Holman: Cup Game
- Propert: Nerf Gun Competition
- Raven: Cup Pyramid Game
- Robinson: Face Painting Booth
- Rosebery: Sponge the Teacher
- White House: Face Paint, Hair and Tattoo Design
- Wilson: Guess the Chocolate
The acts of kindness and generosity continue next week, with the Senior School Bake Off on Monday, and Mufti Day on Friday.
