A group of Epsom students and teachers participated in the Epsom Legal Walk, whose purpose was to raise funds for the Surrey Law Centre. The Centre is a registered charity, based in Epsom, that offers free legal advice throughout Surrey. Cara Robinson (Rv), President of the College’s student-led Law Society, had worked for the Centre during the summer holiday and was therefore able to vouch for the excellent work it does in helping vulnerable and disadvantaged people gain access to justice.
The Epsom team topped the sponsorship table by a considerable margin, raising a fantastic £1,400.
Starting from outside the Surrey Law Centre’s office in Derby Square, the walkers headed up to the Downs in time for unrivalled views of the sun setting over London.
It was an excellent opportunity for the students to meet and talk with legal practitioners, whom they impressed with their proactive approach to supporting their local community.
