The performance featured the College’s chamber groups, who have recently reached the semi-finals of the Pro Corda national competition, alongside the winners of the House Instrumental Competition’s vocal category. The evening concluded with a moving performance by the Chamber Choir, who presented Michael Haydn’s Requiem in C minor — the very piece that served as inspiration for Mozart’s own famous Requiem.
Conducted by Mr Wickham, the concert highlighted the skill, versatility, and musical maturity of the College’s talented musicians — many of whom will soon be showcasing their talents once again in the upcoming production of Les Misérables, either on stage or in the band.
