On Friday 8 of February Kylie Perry, Co-Director of The Paper Birds theatre company visited Upper Fourth Drama students in the Performing Arts Centre. She ran a devising workshop to assist our work on creating our own GCSE Component 1 examination devised pieces.
The workshop was very helpful in showing us how to use a variety of devising techniques including different ways of using movement and physical theatre, as well as monologues and improved our skills of acting in unison. The workshop also helped us to be able to quickly analyse stimuli and develop a short piece from this.
Overall, I took away a lot from this workshop and it helped us significantly with our devising process. Many thanks to Kylie for running the workshop.
