In PSD lessons we explored different definitions of bullying from around the world, and potential solutions to prevent them from happening in a school environment.
Bystander apathy was explored in tutor sessions, with emphasis on encouraging the silent witness to have the confidence to speak up, and report anti-social behaviour. Pupils brainstormed innovative ways of supporting vulnerable friends via advice, support and empathy.
The Library displayed relevant reading material on the topic, there were visual displays in the Quad, and the Lower Sixth Peer Mentors hosted an interactive anti-bullying workshop with junior pupils in the Lower School.
All in all, a very successful week raising awareness of an unpleasant topic in such a positive way.
