As pupils headed home for the summer, the College itself remained a hive of activity. Children from across Europe – as well as farther flung locations such as Kazakhstan and China – made Epsom their home, experiencing British culture and embarking on study and cultural tours.
The visitors were very complimentary about their experience at Epsom, giving particularly high praise to our fine facilities, wonderful food and hospitality. Epsom proved to be the perfect base from which to explore the UK with many trips to London, Oxford, Brighton and beyond.
It wasn’t just academic study that took place at Epsom over the summer. The playing fields also hosted a wealth of sport.
The return of the UR7’s Rugby camp and Maximum Performance swimming camp saw many children enjoy intensive and expert coaching.
Alongside the residential camps, we organised and delivered our own ever popular Summer Courses Programme. Many of our Epsom College sports coaches lent their experience and expertise to deliver a mixture of fun and focused sports courses, including our legendary Multi Sports Courses and Cricket and Netball programmes. We also ran the popular Drama course and the College’s first Art course which was a hugely successful creative week.
A wonderfully busy summer, we have hosted over 2,000 children and raised important funds for the College, which directly supports the running costs of the school.
The staff at Epsom have worked tirelessly over the summer to make their stay comfortable and welcoming – a big thank you.
