Brandon James (F) has been selected for Zimbabwe’s 15-man squad for the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
The 16-team tournament will be held in South Africa from 17 January to 9 February 2020.
Brandon is the son of former Zimbabwe international cricketer Wayne James.
Zimbabwe are in Group C along with Bangladesh, Pakistan and Scotland. They open their campaign against Bangladesh in Potchefstroom on 18 January.
Michael Johnson, Director of Sport at Epsom College, says: “We are delighted for Brandon and very proud that he will be travelling to the World Cup. He’s a great young player and embodies the qualities that we promote through sport at Epsom. He is following in the footsteps of a number of other cricketers from the school, not least World Cup winner Nat Sciver, who has represented England and Surrey so well in the past few seasons and scored a great 100 in this week’s ODI against Pakistan.”
Earlier this month, Epsom College was named as one of the UK’s top cricketing schools by The Cricketer magazine.
