In their first game of the year, and the first since coaching duties were taken over by Mr Smith, the Epsom team faced off against Box Hill School.
Box Hill started strongly, winning the tip-off and making a three-point shot in the first few seconds. This rattled the Epsom side, and the first quarter finished with the home team trailing.
The second quarter was all about Epsom dominance, with strong defensive work and offensive play-making, putting the home team in the lead by half time.
The third quarter belonged to Box Hill as they took the lead back. However, a very strong fourth quarter from the starting five, Freddie Laflin (P), Alex Nicol (Fa), Tom Busby (P), Aaron Endeley (C) and Hans Yu (H) saw Epsom equalise and then secure the win with an outstanding performance from Aaron Endeley.
The final score was 32-28 to Epsom in what was an excellent debut match
