Despite the unusual nature of the 20/21 academic year, our GCSE cohort achieved another set of superb results that are a true reflection of their hard work throughout the GCSE course.
Headmaster, Mr Jay Piggot, commented: “This exceptional cohort of pupils adapted commendably to the challenges of academic life under lockdown and deserve praise for two years of rigorous preparation, application and endeavour and, most notably, for their resilience in such challenging times. As they enter the Sixth Form they may look back with pride on all that they have achieved and approach the future with confidence.”
Deputy Head (Academic), Richard Alton, commented: “We can be confident that the Teacher Assessed Grades fairly reflect the progress pupils made throughout the GCSE course. Using academic data effectively is a key strategic intent at Epsom and, accordingly, we have a robust academic tracking system in operation. This is the methodology we have used at Epsom for the past six years, and which gives us confidence that our internal assessments closely align with externally moderated results.”
