On Friday night, enthusiastic teams from the Lower Sixth took part in a Charity Quiz organised by the Lower Sixth Charity Reps. With Quizmaster Mr Henson returning, over 100 staff and pupils took part in a fast-paced quiz to raise money for our local charity, Shooting Star Children’s Hospices.
Though the teachers’ team threatened to win in the penultimate round, Fayrer were the winners, just edging out runners-up Propert for the prize.
“Well done and thank you for your participation in such an exciting Charity Quiz Night,” said Charities Coordinator, Dr Beth Eliott Lockhart. “We raised £350 for our local charity, Shooting Star Children’s Hospices. Huge thanks to the Charity Reps and particularly Ellie Jordan (M) and Josh King (H) for your organisation and clear enthusiasm. Many thanks to all who set up and tidied as well. Congratulations to the winning House, Fayrer, who just pipped runners-up Propert to win by a single point. Well done all, and I look forward to seeing what you will accomplish next year!”
