Over the past two weeks the Music Department has been delighted to present a return to live concerts with the Leavers’ Concert and Year Group concerts for the Middle Fourth and Upper Fourth. Audiences – both present and watching on the livestreams – have been treated to a hugely diverse range of performances, showcasing the full breadth of styles and talents of the College’s musicians.
The Leavers’ Concert gave our senior musicians a final chance to showcase their talents in Big School, and we thank these pupils for sharing their musicianship with us over their time at Epsom.
“The Leavers reminded us of their musical talent but more importantly they recalled their tenacity, as a group they have played through a pandemic, played remotely, played to raise money and they have made a difference.”
The Headmaster, Mr Jay Piggot

The Middle Fourth and Upper Fourth concerts displayed the highly-promising future of music at the College, with a range of high-quality performances from a large line-up of pupils. A highlight was the chance to hear the Middle Fourth and Upper Fourth Concert Bands playing music from The Avengers and The Incredibles respectively; the accomplished and energetic playing of a smaller group of pupils bodes incredibly well for when we are able to return to large-scale ensembles.
The Department now looks forward to presenting further concerts for the Lower School and Lower Sixth after the half-term break.
