Congratulations to the newly-appointed Lower School Form Captains. In Third Form they are: Violet Tobin (J), Mara Savastre (H), Eason Zheng (G) and Reuben Smith (W). In Lower Fourth, they are: Daniel Strange (W), Jare Salami (GH), Samara Sarpong (H) and Tom Longfield (J).
Pupils applied via an online application form which asked them why they thought the role of form captain was important, why they thought they would make a good form captain and what improvements or changes they would like to make to their form or to the Lower School in general.
Heads of Year, Christopher Swainson and Briony Thomas, then had a follow up interview with every applicant to discuss their responses and find out more about why they were keen to take on the role. Then, in consultation with their form tutors and other Lower School staff, the eight successful applicants were selected. The role includes:
- Representing their form at Lower School Council and putting forward any ideas that their peers have had.
- Acting as role models within their forms to help to energise the form to push for more merits and fewer sanctions!
- Helping to arrange sports teams for inter-House sports.
- On hand to help their peers with any concerns they have and providing support and help.
Pupils who were not chosen on this occasion are encouraged to apply again, as each term new captains will be appointed.
