The U14A girls put in an impressive display under the lights last Tuesday in front of delighted parents, who had been enabled to watch the match following school procedures, government guidance and registering with the NHS App on arrival at pitch-side.
The match against Epsom Hockey Club U15s was competitive and high in quality. The first half ended as a stalemate, with both sides having chances but unable to make the breakthrough. However, the game came to life early in the second half as first the school scored a great goal through Natasha Cook (M), finishing superbly after an impressive move emanating from the back. Almost immediately, however, Epsom HC equalised with a great strike from the top of the D. Olivia Diri (M) hit the post in both halves and there were several further chances for both teams, but the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
