During the first half of term, we asked members of Epsom College to run, walk or cycle as many kilometres as possible in support of the rehabilitation and recovery of Covid-19 patients at Headley Court.
The impressive figure raised, just shy of £12,000, has allowed the trust to purchase vital equipment for their physio and rehabilitation programme, and to improve the facilities offered to patients in recovery. The money has funded treadmills, steppers, weights, exercise balls, balance boards, and other gym equipment to help get patients back on their feet, as well as televisions and radios to make their stay more comfortable.
Epsom College began life as the Royal Medical Benevolent College, helping the widows and orphans of medical professionals. Therefore it is only right that today we do our bit to help the medical profession fight back against Covid-19, and support those in our community battling their way back to fitness.
Fiona Mooney, Head of Seacole Centre at Headley, said: “Many thanks for your amazing fund raising at Epsom College. We really appreciate your kind donations and support.”
