Two pupils, Luca Boot (C) and Barnaby Jullien (P) took part in the Annual Rotary French Speaking Competition held at Epsom College, in Main Hall, on Tuesday 3 March, together with two candidates from Rosebery School and one candidate from Blenheim.
Both Epsom pupils spoke very eloquently and impressed the judges with the depth of their research and their ability to respond spontaneously to further unexpected questions on their chosen topics, respectively “Should France apologise to its old colonies for past crimes against them?” and “Why is Jacques Chirac considered by the French one of the best French presidents?”.
Luca won the competition and Barnaby came highly commended. Very well done to both of them.
