On Sunday evening, over 130 singers, formed from the College’s Chapel Choir and Choral Society, joined forces with a professional orchestra to perform highlights of Handel’s masterpiece Messiah.
The massed ranks of singers performed to a full Big School and were joined by four visiting professional soloists, who combined to present a highly engaging and spirited performance of this famous work.
The concert marked the end of the Choral Society’s season of rehearsals, and comes as the first performance in a busy term for the Chapel Choir; one that includes singing choral evensong at St Albans Cathedral and a tour to Barcelona.
