On Saturday night the Friends of Epsom College hosted their annual Burns Night celebrations. Over 80 guests were piped into Big School and enjoyed a scrumptious three-course traditional meal including haggis, neeps and tatties, plus a dram or two of whisky.
The toast to the Immortal Memory of Robbie Burns was delivered with wit and poignancy by Mr Christopher Swainson, while Mrs Maria Stoney addressed the Rights of Woman with poise and charm.
The post-dinner ceilidh dancing was impressive; all guests took the dance floor and reeled the night away, thoroughly enjoying the live band. The evening was brought to a close with a rousing rendition of Auld Lang Syne. No doubt, Rabbie would have been proud!
