On Friday, Lower Sixth Drama students had a three-hour intensive workshop where they explored the theories of theatre practitioner, Katie Mitchell.
Workshop leader, Susie Ferguson, has worked closely with Katie Mitchell and has also taught Drama for over 18 years. In addition to her continued outstanding teaching in the classroom, she also works regularly with the Learning departments of the National Theatre and Old Vic, as well as designing GCSE and A-level production and practitioner notes.
The students developed their knowledge and understanding of Mitchell’s practices through practical explorations and discussion. The students’ improved skills and understanding will now be used to develop their first A-level practical module, which will be completed by the end of the Summer Term.
