It was our pleasure to welcome Rosie Wolfenden MBE, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Tatty Devine – an iconic brand famous for their original and fun statement jewellery.
The lecture proved popular for parents, pupils and staff, with a number wearing their own Tatty Devine pieces.
The talk helped pupils to gain an understanding of how Tatty Devine created the business, and the passion involved in pursuing a fledgling idea. The pieces Rosie kindly brought with her, brought meaning to the talk and left pupils clearly inspired.
A variety of topics were discussed during the questions covering some key aspects of both GCSE and A-level DT specifications. Rosie was very complimentary about the exam coursework from 2019 in our Design and Technology department, where we also compared the size of our respective laser cutters.
