This was a good game of hockey to watch; Epsom played fast, aggressive, exciting hockey, with nice passing leading to a lovely finish from Maria Grant (Hu).
vs Barrow Hills

Another nice game, switching the play nicely and scoring two well-deserved goals.
Semi-Final vs Lambrook Drew
0-0 (Won on shuffles)
This was the best game of the day; fast and furious from start to finish. Both teams had chances and narrowly missed out on winning during open play. Maddie O’Brien (GH), Katie McNeil and Ali Rugina stepped up to take the shuffles for Epsom and this was a nail-biting competition.
Great goals and narrow misses led to sudden death. The mixture of these three attacking players and Lucy Stephens (Hu) in goal was the winning combination and secured the girls’ place in the final.
Final v Cranleigh
WON 2-0 (Rugina x2)
Epsom were straight out of the blocks and ready to play, scoring within the first three minutes through Ali Rugina, This was closely followed with a second. Epsom were relaxed and playing great hockey and although Cranleigh stepped up the pace, the girls’ defence and Lucy Hughes in goal took care of things nicely.
