Six schools (St John’s, Brighton, Cranleigh, Wellington, Sevenoaks and Epsom) took part in the Cranleigh Co-ed meeting at the Broadbridge Heath Stadium, Horsham.
Epsom’s athletes were in tremendous form across the board and produced a series of outstanding performances.
Overall, Epsom came first in both the boys’ and girls’ competitions, ahead of Cranleigh and Brighton. The boys won all three age groups and the girls won Junior, Intermediate and were second in the Seniors.
Twenty-nine events were won by Epsom athletes, with the Juniors proving especially strong, winning 15.
Multiple winners were:
- Seumas MacLeod (H) in the Junior 800m and Javelin
- Josh King (H) in the Intermediate 100m Hurdles and Long Jump
- Luke Laughton (C) in the Senior 100m and 200m
- Delphine Ayitey-Hammond (Rv) in the Junior 75m Hurdles and Shot Put
- Grace Crompton (R) in the Senior 200m and Triple Jump.
There were also new College records for Will Springett (Fa) in the Junior 300m and Ella Beswick (W) in the Intermediate 300m.
The season finishes with a home meeting on Saturday.
