The 1st VII girls started their season in tremendous style, winning Christs Hospital 7s. Playing four games within a group, three in the morning and one after lunch, Epsom started off against last year’s champions Worthing College and producing a super performance, winning 21-12.
Next came Robert Clack who played a very physical game. Epsom were down 12-5 at the half, however the girls rallied to win 33-24 in the end.
Christs Hospital were dispatched in clinical fashion 40-7 before lunch while, after a long lunch break, Reigate Grammar produced a competitive performance but eventually Epsom broke through to win 40-15.
All players in the squad contributed to the overall success of the day, playing some superb rugby which sets us up well for Reigate this Sunday and then Rosslyn Park Nationals late in March.
