Over the half term holidays, 32 Epsom pupils set off to the French resort of Les Deux Alpes to participate in the Senior ski trip. The group was made up of pupils from the Fifth and Sixth Form. Everyone was excited to get to the slopes after a long and demanding first half of the Lent term.
Over the course of the week, the students skied the entire mountain ranging from an altitude of 3600m to 1300m with stunning views of the glacier and the surrounding peaks. The ski area is vast and everyone took full advantage of this huge mountain. We were spoiled with sunshine every single day and good quality snow to enjoy. The weather was unusually warm for February.
The ski instructors commented on the very high standard of the Epsom skiers and said how much fun they had guiding the pupils around the mountain. The ski groups made excellent progress and most left better skiers than they arrived. Particular mention should be made of the beginners group who grew in confidence daily and made very rapid progress during the week. The pupils were true ambassadors of the College, and a delight to take abroad.
