The 1st XV won their Champions Trophy semi-final in a game that epitomises the cliché “a game of two halves.” A controlled first half saw Epsom go up 22-3, after Adam Koep (C), twice, Lennan Day (G) and George Addington (Rn) crashed over for scores, one converted by Jack Jesty (G). The second half was almost exactly the opposite as Epsom allowed Hurstpierpoint to claw their way back into the game with some poor decision making and missed opportunities. Wellington College awaits in the final at Allianz Park on Wednesday 5 December, a game that requires a complete performance from every player.
Tries: Koep (C) x2, Day (G), Addington (Rn)
Player of the Match: Adam Koep (C) for his two tries and his work in defence.
