Adorned with flags and awash with chatter (and a fair bit of wine), the Dining Hall was the setting for a fierce but fun battle of wits, expertly conducted by Quizmaster, Paul Henson.
The rounds came thick and fast, featuring missing song lyrics, dingbats, pictures, mystery voices, recall of the events of the year 2000 (sketchy at best for many!) and general knowledge. The air was punctuated with alternating groans, cheers, sighs and for a brief spell, spirited singing.
It was a close finish with a tie-breaker required for second place and a number of teams snapping at their heels – definitely all to play for next year. Thank you to all who came and created such an energetic buzz, especially to those who arrived as self-confessed “non-quizzers” and left as converts – looking forward to seeing you all back in 2026!
