With House colours proudly displayed and faces painted in support, pupils from both the Lower and Senior Schools took to the track, racing and flipping pancakes with enthusiasm. The atmosphere was electric as cheers rang out across the pitch, celebrating the spirit of friendly competition and House camaraderie.
Impressive skill and sportsmanship
The event organised by the College Chaplaincy, praised the pupils for their impressive skill and sportsmanship. Canon Andrew said, “It was wonderful to see everyone competing at such a high level, running and flipping their pancakes with great enthusiasm. The camaraderie and joy were truly fantastic.”
With the help of the Chaplaincy’s formidable computing power, the results were tallied, and the following Houses emerged victorious:
- Lower School Winner: Hutchison
- Senior Girls’ House: White
- Senior Boys’ House: Carr
Though prizes were awarded, Canon Andrew was keen to emphasise that in his eyes, “All the participants are winners!”
The Pancake Race has once again cemented its place as a highlight of the Lent Term, bringing together the Epsom College community in a celebration of tradition, teamwork, and a touch of friendly rivalry.
