The Psychology Society encourages students to independently research topics of interest, enter essay competitions, and present their findings to peers.
This Michaelmas Term, the society began an exciting new project – the launch of Brainwaves, Epsom’s first-ever psychology magazine. Entirely written and edited by Sixth Form students, this debut edition explores the theme of fear, delving into everything from classic psychological studies to the impact of mental health labels and the way our brains interpret visual information differently.
A huge thank you goes to our dedicated editor, Alicia Edwards, along with contributors Ana Damore (with stunning design work by Nastya Borisova), Sophia Machanet, Callie Tuen Muk, Amy Schoonhoven, Ada Ucuncu, and Alice Griffiths.
So, why not grab a cup of tea and immerse yourself in the fascinating world of Psychology? Whether you’re intrigued by the mysteries of the mind or just love a good psychological thriller, Brainwaves has something for you – including a creative writing competition for pupils to enter.
