Along with Isabel and Amelie, Scout Craggs (Year 11) is set to join them in representing England, following a full recovery from injury. Isabel and Scout will compete in the U16 category, while Amelie will take part in the U18 group. For the U16s, this marks the first step into international hockey, providing an invaluable opportunity to grow under new challenges and experiences while representing their country.
The girls will engage in high-intensity training days and camps, facing elite European teams such as the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Ireland, and the Home Nations. These experiences will come through both camp-based activities and competitive tournaments, offering unparalleled exposure to top-level hockey – culminating in the prestigious European Cup in Lille, France.
Director of Hockey, Brett Garrard, said: “We are delighted to see both Amelie and Isabel’s selection for the U18s and U16s, respectively. Their hard work and dedication have been evident throughout this term, and we wish them all the best for the forthcoming winter training camps. Additionally, it is positive that Scout Craggs is still part of the squad as she continues her recovery from long term injury. We wish her every success with the final assessments.”
This is a significant milestone for our talented pupils, and we eagerly look forward to watching their continued development and success.
