The Epsom Sax Quintet showcased their musical prowess at the National Final of the Pro Corda Chamber Music Competition on Sunday 17 March at Central Foundation Boys School.
Under the discerning ear of Dr Evan Rothstein, Deputy Head of Strings at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London, they delivered a vibrant and lively performance of Warlock’s Capriol Suite. Their harmonious melodies resonated through the venue, leaving an indelible mark on the audience. Congratulations to this talented ensemble for their remarkable achievement.
The performers – Marcus Barrett, Sophie Bustard, Matthew Jarrett, Shihyun Kim and Jayen Navamani – played exceptionally and were coached impeccably by Andrew Hooley in preparation for the competition.
