A firm favourite for pupils and staff alike returned to the Epsom College calendar this week… the Pancake Race!
For the first time in four years, pupils raced, flipped, cheered and enjoyed an afternoon of inter-house fun. For various reasons this staple of the Lent Term slipped away over recent years: gone, but not forgotten.
This year, the event roared back, cheered on by hoards of pupils decked out in House colours and face paint. Each House – from both the Lower and Senior school – competed.
The whole event was organised with great skill by Canon Andrew Havilland, who commended the pupils for “competing at an incredibly high-level, running and flipping their pancakes with great skill. It was a wonderful afternoon of camaraderie and fun.”
