After the success of the 2020/21 podcast series, Epsom Insight has returned. The Lower Sixth student-led podcast regularly features interviews with guest speakers, Epsom College staff and pupils, as well as Old Epsomians.
In the first episode of the year, the Epsom Insight team spoke with Old Epsomian Makeen Alikhan (Class of 2020). Makeen, who captained the College’s 1st XV to the final of the Champions Trophy, speaks about his time at the College, his university studies in veterinary medicine, his rugby career so far with Harlequins, and pursuing his dream of becoming a professional player.
The second episode of the season, which is also available to listen now, is an interview with Hyphen, a music artist and mental health advocate. This episode was originally recorded for The Wellbeing Hub, who have kindly allowed Epsom to repost to our channel in honour of Men’s Health Awareness Month. The interview, by Epsom students Stefano Di Rico and Ben Frewer (pictured above with Hyphen), aims to destigmatise mental health, while discussing vulnerability, and access to mental health support.
The Epsom Insight is available to listen wherever you access your podcasts.
Happy listening!
