The Senior Development Football squad won their opening ISFA match of the season 3-0 against Worth.
Kris Kim, Year 10 (Fayrer), has been selected to play Golf for the England U16 team against Ireland next month.
In Hockey, there were great successes at the weekend with the 1st XI girls’ team winning 5-2 against Brighton, with a hattrick from captain Jess Dyson (Upper Sixth, White).
There were also wins for the 2nd XI, 4th XI, U14As, U14Bs and U15As, including four goals each for Ciara Moore (Year 10, Raven), Kitty Mumford (Year 9, Rosebery) and Isla Perkins (Year 9, Crawfurd).
The 1st XI girls success continued on Wednesday at the St George’s Sixes. Epsom was one of 40 schools taking part in the competition and did remarkably well to reach the semi-finals.
Our Rugby teams went up against RGS Guildford at home this week, with the 2nd XI, 3rd XI, 4th XI, U14 A, B and D teams and all the U15 sides winning their matches.
Reuben Smith (Year 9, Fayrer) scored five tries and Ronnie Dogra (Fayrer), Lorenzo Lentini (Carr) and James Franklin (Fayrer) – all in Year 10 – scored three tries each.
On the Ski slopes, Amber Griffin (Year 10, Crawfurd), Sophie Lovett (Year 8) and Sabrina Smith (Year 10, Raven) represented Epsom College at the British Schoolgirls Indoor Ski Championships at Milton Keynes on Sunday.
Amber finished eighth in the U16 category with a combined time of 33.30, Sophie finished 6th in the U14 category with a combined time of 36.46 and Sabrina finished 25th in U16 with a combined time of 47.89.
93 of the 110 racers finished the course, with 15 schools represented, and Epsom finished sixth overall, which is a brilliant result for the team’s first race of the season.
In Squash, Epsom teams played well against a senior Wimbledon Rackets club side, following on from some impressive individual performances on Sunday at the Buckinghamshire Silver competition.
Ronnie Hickling (Year 10, Carr) and Luke McBride (Year 8) played an age group higher and performed well, finishing sixth at U17 and third at U15 level respectively. Year 10 Maja Maziuk (Wilson) played at U17 level and only narrowly lost in the semi-final to the England number 1.
