A team of eight Epsom College teachers took on the infamous challenge of climbing the highest mountains of England, Scotland and Wales within 24 hours.
The group managed to complete the challenge in 23 hours. An impressive feat, not least because the three mountains straddle three different countries – Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England and Snowdon in Wales.
The team, which comprised of Ms Archibald, Mr Bates, Miss Birch, Mr Fisher, Mr Johnstone, Mr MacDowel, Mr Nuthall and Mr Watson, managed to raise £770 for Mountain Rescue. A worthy charity which Miss Birch says gives her peace of mind when sending Epsom’s Duke of Edinburgh participants off on their expeditions.
The group hope to inspire pupils to organise their own fundraising.
